ALERT: PLANNED TEMPORARY POWER INTERRUPTION ON SATURDAY, 21 FEBRUARY 2026 – WEST END
Residents and businesses in West End are hereby informed of a planned power interruption scheduled as follows:
Date: Saturday, 21 February 2026
Time: 07:00 – 13:00
Impact Areas/Streets To Be Affected:
Waterloo Street, Oat Street, Green Street, Pound Street, St Augustine Street, and possibly other surrounding streets.
Reason: Replacement of faulty 11kV Ring Main Units (RMUs) and 11kV cable joints at Waterloo Substation will be undertaken.
The electricity supply will be restored immediately upon completion of the maintenance work.
⚠️ Important Notice:
All electrical installations and equipment must be treated as live during the interruption period, as power might be restored earlier.
