UPDATE: 23 FEBRUARY 2023 – 12:45
We are aware that parts of Cassandra and De Beers have been without electricity since the early hours of this morning due to another cable theft, a 15m aerial feeder was stolen. the electricians are working tirelessly to replace the stolen cable.
They are currently on site to complete repairs, once that is done Power will be restored to affected areas.

There is currently a power outage in a few suburbs including Cassandra, Ernestville and possibly other surrounding areas. This is possibly due to cable theft in the area. Sol Plaatje Electricians were sent out to investigate.
