21:40 24/10/17 – Electricity is off in large parts of Kimberley including, Galeshewe, West End, Diamant Park, Homelite, Carters Glen and other areas. The Sol Plaatje Electrical Department is investigating. Updates will be posted here when available.
UPDATE 22:22 According to Sol Plaatje Municipality power has been restored. If you are still without electricity check the switches in your DB board. If all is one contact the Call Centre at 053 830 6111
UPDATE 22:20: Reports are coming in from that power has been restored to at least some areas.
UPDATE 22:08 Via Sharon Steyn & Johan Smit “The electricians are busy at HR Morris seems to be a 66kv fault. The public have been asked to please give the call centre a break. They are inundated with calls.”
