COMMUNITY PROTEST TIMES AND TRAFFIC ROUTES
“The general public and businesses are accordingly advised that permission for the protest march to be held, tomorrow, 27th Wednesday June 2018 has been granted.
A memorandum will be handed over to the Executive Mayor at the Civic Centre. The anticipated number of participants for the march is 5000, with 500 marshals. The participants will come from various areas of the city.They will assemble from 07h30 and the march will get underway at 09h00.
TRAFFIC ROUTES
The routes to be followed from the Kemo Hotel are as follows ; Pniel Road, Cecil Sussman Road, Phakamile Road, Sidney Street, Eureka Street and Bultfontein Road to the Civic Centre. The return route will be Bultfontein Road, New Main Street, Stockdale Street, Tyburn Road, Pniel Road, dispersing at the Kemo Hotel.
Police and traffic officials will assist in maintaining a peaceful event.NB: All municipal municipal offices amd services will function as normal. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.The municipality regret the inconvenience.”
