WATER SUPPLY RESTORED AMID REPAIR WORK ON 600MM PIPELINE – RHODES AVENUE IN RHODESDENE
》Residents in the CBD and surrounding suburbia are expected to be experiencing tap pressure that is high to normal. The Newton Reservoirs pumps started running slightly before midnight.
》 Sol Plaatje Municipality’s Waterworks successfully installed a new cascade clamp on 600mm diameter pipeline located in Rhodes Avenue, Rhodesdene.
Residents are encouraged to report water faults to the Call-Centre – 080 122 9010.

UPDATE 4: TEMPORARY WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION DUE TO REPAIR WORK ON 600MM PIPELINE – RHODES AVENUE IN RHODESDENE
》Draining has taken off and progressing well. Water levels in excavated spot have dropped
Sol Plaatje Municipality’s Waterworks will replace a cascade clamp on 600mm diameter pipeline located in Rhodes Avenue, Rhodesdene.
》The pumps at the Newton Reservoirs have been switched off for network levels to drop and allow for the task to be carried out with ease.
》Residents in the CBD and surrounding suburbia will experience low tap pressure to no flow in the next few hours.

》The pumps at the Newton Reservoirs will be switched off for water levels to drop and allow for the task to be carried out with ease.

WATER SUPPLY IS BEING RESTORED AMID INTERRUPTION DUE TO REPAIR WORK ON A 600MM PIPELINE – RHODES AVE IN RHODESDENE
》The Sol Plaatje Municipality’s Waterworks has resorted to tightening the old cascade clamp on 600mm diameter pipeline in Rhodes Ave, Rhodesdene.
》A single pump has been put into operation at the Newton Reservoirs. The second and third will follow in an hourly interval.
》Water supply is expected to return to normal during the cause of this evening.

Good afternoon, Residents
Work on the 600 line is taking longer than anticipated.
Waterworks are running two pumps, but as this is a mainline, water left in the system continues to flow through.
Water levels are gradually receding.
If possible, please avoid the Rhodesdene section of Rhodes Avenue, between Zambesi and Elizabeth Roux.

WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION DUE TO BURST PIPE – RHODES AVE IN RHODESDENE
》The Sol Plaatje Municipality’s Waterworks is still busy replacing a cascade clamp on 600mm diameter pipeline in Rhodes Ave, Rhodesdene.
》Pumps at the Newton Reservoirs remain off and a number of fire-hydrants have been opened to allow for a significant drop in water levels for repair work to be effected.
》Residents in CBD and surrounding suburbia are currently experiencing low tap pressure and possibly no flow.
