It appears as though repairs done to the burst pipe in Conrad Street took longer than anticipated, but Newton Reservoir has been opened now. Water might still take a few minutes to reach normal pressure in some areas.

NEWTON Reservoir will be switched off to work on repairs after a pipe burst in Conrad Street.
Sol Plaatje Municipality spokesperson Thoko Riet said on Tuesday that Newton Reservoir would be switched off for about 30-45 minutes to work on the repairs.
“Areas fed from the reservoir will be temporarily affected. We regret the inconvenience,” Riet added.
