⚠️ ALERT: POWER OUTAGE IN LARGE PARTS OF ROODEPAN DUE TO VANDALISM AT SWITCH HOUSE 2
The Electrical Department’s technical team was dispatched in the early hours of this morning following a power outage affecting Roodepan, Midlands, Lerato Park, Ivory Park, Lethabo Park, Sunset Manor, and other surrounding areas.
On arrival, it was discovered that Switch House No. 2 in Raven Street had been vandalised. Due to safety concerns, repairs could not be carried out immediately.
The technical team will conduct further inspections this morning to restore electricity supply.
Residents are urged to help protect municipal infrastructure by reporting suspicious activity to SAPS on 10111 and to Sol Plaatje Municipality Security on 0800 122 9010.
