UPDATE: 11 August 2022 – 18:00
The waterworks dept will work on maintenance and repairs in Chapel Street this evening (Thu 11 Aug 2022), and in order for repairs to be done the Newton Reservoir will be switched off at 21:00pm this evening, however water will be restored in a few hours once repairs are complete.
Areas that will be affected are the CBD, New Park, Royldene, Hadison Park, El toro park, Hillcrest and other suburbs fed directly from the Reservoir.
