ALERT: ELECTRICAL UPGRADE AT RIVERTON WATER TREATMENT PLANT – SWITCH-OFF SET TO RESULT IN LOW WATER PRESSURE IN ROODEPAN
The Riverton Water Treatment Plant will be switched off after 09:00:
• The electrical contractor under the Budget Facility for Infrastructure (BFI) will disconnect the old 5MVA transformer and construct a platform for the new 10MVA transformer. This six-hour operation will start after 09H00
* Supply will continue during this period with minimum interruption, while Roodepan will be affected by low water pressure.
* Residents in other areas are encouraged to contact Call-Centre 080 122 9010 should they experience supply challenges.
