UPDATE 3: TEMPORARY POWER OUTAGE IN HOMEVALE EXTENSION – RING MAIN UNIT VANDALISED
Latest On Repair Work:
Our electricians are still onsite. A new Ring Main Unit (RMU) has been installed. Several High Tension (HT) faults have been repaired. Two more HT joints to be finalised.
Important To Note: All necessary efforts will be taken to ensure supply is restored today.
Outage Background: The power outage occurred past Tuesday around 01:00, in the wake of a Ring Main Unit (RMU), having been vandalised at Corner 14th and 19th streets, Homevale Extension.
A 21 year-old man’s body was discovered inside the RMU.
We continue to plead for patience as the damage was excessive, prompting the amassing of various components for replacement and reconstruction.

TEMPORARY POWER OUTAGE IN HOMEVALE EXTENSION – REPAIRING OF VANDALISED RING MAIN UNIT
Latest On Repair Work: The Electrical Department team worked until the early hours of this morning. In considering safety aspects, they paused at 03:00.
• The repair work will resume after 09:00 in an all-out-effort to ensure the power supply is restored in Homevale Extension .
Outage Background: The power outage occurred yesterday around 01:00, in the wake of a Ring Main Unit (RMU), having been vandalised at Corner 14th and 19th streets in Homevale Extension.
A 21 year-old man’s body was discovered inside the RMU.

ALERT: TEMPORARY POWER OUTAGE IN HOMEVALE EXTENSION – 21 YEAR OLD MAN ELECTROCUTED TO DEATH – RING MAIN UNIT VANDALISED
Our electricians will be working on restoring the power supply to the entire Homevale Extension residential area.
Cause of Outage: The power outage occurred this morning, around 01:00, in the wake of a Ring Main Unit having been vandalised at Corner 14th and 19th streets in Homevale Extension.
A 21 year-old man’s body was discovered inside the Ring Main Unit. The incident is being handled by the Roodepan police.
We urge the affected residents to be patient as the outage might last into or beyond this afternoon. The damage is excessive.
