ALERT: WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION ON THURSDAY 03 OCT 2024 IN KIMBERLEY CBD AND SURROUND SUBURBIA
From: 13:00
* Impact: Pumps at Newton Reservoirs to be switched off at 13:00 and will be back in operation in the early hours of Friday, 04 October 2024.
– Inner-City and surrounding areas are set to experience low tap pressure to no supply.
* Reason: Repair work – fixing leak on 600mm diameter pipeline in Rhodes Avenue – installation of 6m PVC pipe and Viking Johnson coupling on existing asbestos pipe to curb current water losses.
STORING WATER AND RELIEF SUPPLY
* Residents are encouraged to store water.
* Roving tankers are to be deployed and residents are encouraged to contact;
