💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: 12 APR 2021 – 16:00‼️💧
The Waterworks Department is currently working on the water situation in the City after critical low levels led to the suspension of supply at Newton Reservoir and the entire city. The current challenges are due to productivity processes that is very tedious and not due to any major leaks on the mainline from Riverton. The Dam levels at Newton Reservoir Complex are constantly being monitored. The same situation is also being experienced at Ritchie with low productivity.
Once the situation has improved we will immediately commence water supply without delay. Please further note that we will immediately start with nightly shutdowns to further increase the capacity of the Reservoirs. We regret the inconvenience.
