The city has encountered several pipe bursts this morning;
1. There’s a huge burst pipe in Kimdustria next to SA brewery. Kimdustria will have water supply interruption until repairs are complete
2. Behind Shoprite in Barkly Road, there’s a huge burst pipe , therefore Tips, Homestead and Extension will be affected in terms of water supply
3. Lynch Rd also has a burst pipe
4. Barkly Rd opposite the Dept of education (Perseverance) , there’s also a burst pipe.
The waterworks team is currently on site to repair bursts. Valves will therefore be closed in these areas to allow the team to complete repairs.
