Update 20/01/2016 09:00:In a DFA interview Sello Matsie, the Municipal Spokesperson, stated that the water shutdown might “take two days at the most” and it may take between two and three weeks for the work on the corner to be completed … “if all went according to plan”
Kindly be informed there will be a water supply interruption on Tuesday, 26 January 2016 from 08:00 to 20:00 to effect the improvement of water supply into Royldene, Roylglen, Eltoro Park, South Ridge, Minerva Gardens and Monument Heights, the contractor will be installing pipe specials at the corner of Gerrit Schouten and Jacobus Smit roads.
Areas affected:
Hillcrest, Hadison Park, Royldene, Roylglen, Eltoro park, Minerva Gardens, South Ridge and Monument Heights.
The number of households affected will be approximately 1500 plus the big malls and Spar centre.
Those having storage must PLEASE ensure that their tanks are full, portable water will be distributed throughout the affected areas during the interruption. These tanks will be placed at convenient locations.
