The electricians have found that it’s an 11KV cable fault.
They are currently busy repairing the fault.
UPDATE: 10 JANUARY 2023 – 13:30
The Municipality is aware of the power outage in the CBD area and neighbouring suburbs. The electricians have gone out to assess what caused the outage.
Further update will follow as soon as the fault has been detected. Residents will also struggle to get through to Call centre as they are swamped with calls and the entire civic centre building is also affected by this outage.
