Update Saturday  07:30 22/11/2014: Eskom is again on Stage 2 Load-shedding.  Please be prepared for possible load-shedding in Kimberley from 06:00 this morning  until  22:00 tonight.
Load-shedding is expected to continue through out the day, and continue on Sunday.

Update Friday 15:30 21/11/2014: Eskom has raised the load-shedding Status to Stage 2.  Please be prepared for possible load-shedding in Kimberley this afternoon and tonight until 20:00 or possible 22:00.
Eskom has also stated that load-shedding might continue on Saturday and Sunday to help build up water, diesel & coal reserves for next week.
Sol Plaatje Municipality has already implemented ripple relay system to turn of geysers in Kimberley.

Update Friday 13:45 21/11/2014: Eskom is currently unable to meet South Africa’s power demand, and load-shedding is being implemented in selected areas through South Africa.

Update Friday 13:30 21/11/2014: Eskom already requested load-shedding from certain Municipalities. There is a VERY HIGH probability that Sol Plaatje Municipality may introduce load-shedding this afternoon or tonight.

Update Wednesday 18:55 12/11/2014: Although the power grid is currently under heavy strain, Eskom expect the alert level to go down to a yellow level by 20:00.  The notice received from  by Sol Plaatje Municipality might be overly pessimistic.

LOAD REDUCTION ALERT, 12 November 2014 from 20h33-22h00. Please note that the loss of an additional 1200 MW is likely to require a load reduction. We appeal to all to participate in the demand response to avoid having to declare an emergency or invoke rotational shedding of load.Please switch off all non essential equipment.

 Update Tuesday 11/11/2014: Possible load shedding between between 6pm and 10pm:

Update Friday 7/11/2014 08:30: The power grid is currently stable on a yellow status. No load shedding is expected today.
Update Thursday 06/11/2014 08:30: Currently there is NO load shedding scheduled today.  Eskom does expect heave power use today. Load shedding may be introduces at at any time with little or no notice at the times below.
Update Wednesday 05/11/2014 08:30: Currently there is NO load shedding scheduled today.  Eskom does expect heave power use today. Load shedding may be introduces at at any time with little or no notice at the times below.
Update Tuesday 04/11/2014 08:30: Currently there is NO load shedding scheduled today.  Load shedding may be resumed tomorrow (Wednesday) using the schedule below.
Update Monday 03/11/2014 10:30: South Africa’s electricity supply is still under severe pressure.  Eskom is asking everyone to save electricity where ever possible to avoid the need for further load shedding.
Update Tuesday 04/11/2014 08:30: Saturday & Sunday added to the schedule..
Update Monday 03/11/2014 09:15: Eskom indicates that they don’t expect load shedding to be implemented today.
Update Sunday 02/11/2014 21:00: If current forecasts keep, load shedding in Kimberley may only be implemented between 18:00 and 20:00 on Monday 03/11/2014.
