The water is back on, some areas can still have low pressure but it should return to normal shortly.

The time frame given by Sol Plaatje Municipality this morning, was very optimistic. Work is currently still ongoing, and there is no estimate time of completion.

“Subsequent to the assessment done by the technical team on the major leakage reported yesterday at Newton reservoir station, please note that an emergency shut-down will be effected from 11:30 to 14:00pm.We will continuously update on repair progress .
The affected areas stays the same CBD and the surroundings.”
