Received from Sol Plaatje Municipality
Please be counselled that the Sol Plaatje Electricity Department is currently conducting repairs to a cable fault between Michael Street and Jansen Street Mini Substations. The cable fault has affected large parts of the city that get electricity supplied from the area, for example Rhodesdene, Caters road, portion of New Park and Monument Heights and etc. The areas presently being supplied from other sub stations but with low voltage. Tests will be conducted to determine the exact point of the fault and repairs done. Meanwhile regarding the Infrastructure maintenance at our Riverton purification plant, work has been completed. We pumping at full capacity from Riverton to Newton reservoir station at the moment. The situation will be monitored closely while we build up reserves.
