The municipality is currently conducting tests at the mini sub in Rhodes Avenue and doing inspections at the Carters Glen substation after inspecting the minisub in Cathkinpeak.
There is an issue with the voltage being too low.

POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION – CARTERS GLEN
* Source of Outage: Cable fault between Louw Street Mini-Substation and Waterberg Substation.
– Electrical Department awaiting to be granted access at the Palms Residential Complex to proceed with repair work.
We plead for patience while the team is attending to the outage.

There is a cable fault somewhere between Wellington Street and Riviera Spar.
The exact location must still be found and the electricians are waiting for the cable testing team.
Please note
Updates will always be provided when and if available.
When the municipality fails to provide those updates I must physically check all the closest substations and most likely locations to get information.

There are currently two power outages reported.
One is affecting parts of Carters Glen and another in Greenpoint.
The municipality is aware of the problem, and the electricians are investigating.
