UPDATE: 06 September 2023 – 07:00
As of today, Wednesday 6 September 2023, it appears as though Newton Reservoir is still off and therefore all areas serviced by the reservoir will have little to no water pressure. There has unfortunately been no formal update as to what the issue is, there is however an urgent councillor meeting scheduled for 13h00 this afternoon which will then hopefully shed some light on the current water situation.

UPDATE: 05 September 2023 – 18:43
Parts of the city will notice low pressure to no water from their taps, this is due emergency maintenance repairs that are being done at Riverton, water will thus be off for a short period, and for the system not to run dry we have had to switch off Newton as well.
As soon as the repairs are complete, water will be restored in the city during the night.
