Please be advised that there are people currently in the city who are fraudulently offering to sell residents pre paid meters supposedly from a Northern Cape Municipality.
They are asking for R1800 and R4500 respectively and claim the meters will also provide electricity during load shedding. We urge you not to open your door to these fraudsters and to report the matter to the police or contact the municipality urgently should you be approached.
NB. In case of Prepaid meters from Sol Plaatje Municipality, all payments should strictly be paid at the cashiers.
