When you encounter a snake
- Walk away and leave the snake alone.
- The snake is most probably just passing through your yard.
- If it looks like the snake is moving in, or you are uncomfortable having it near your residence contact the SPCA, Nature Conservation or a professional to remove the snake. They will capture the snake free of any charge, and release it at a safe location such as Rooipoort Nature reserve. (See list below)
