UPDATE: PLANNED POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION – GALESHEWE SUBSTATION

The Electrical Team is still on site and is in the final stage of the planned maintenance work.

Supply was initially scheduled to be restored at 12:00.

However, the team requires approximately one and a half hours to complete the remaining testing and ensure that the equipment is safe and ready for energisation.

Once all tests have been successfully completed, the electricity supply will be restored immediately.

⚠️ ALERT: PLANNED POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION AT GALESHEWE SUBSTATION- GALESHEWE AND PLATFONTEIN

Residents are hereby notified of a planned electricity supply interruption.

⚡ Purpose: The Electrical Team will temporarily interrupt the electricity supply at Galeshewe Substation to carry out preventative maintenance on the following equipment:

11kV switchgears
11kV metering VT
Protection on the Neutral Earth Regulator (NER)

📆Date: Wednesday, 16 September 2026
🕘Time: 09:00 – 12:00

📍 Affected Area: Galeshewe Substation supply area (entire Galeshewe and Platffontein)

🚨Safety Notice: Residents and affected customers are requested to treat all electrical appliances and installations as LIVE at all times, as the electricity supply may be restored before 12:00.

We apologise for the inconvenience and trust that residents will cooperate as we carry out this critical maintenance work.
