Outrage over Rooifontein mining

Tow prospective diamond mining applications on the Rooifontein game farm have been met with outrage by members and friends of the Rooifontein Wildlife Club as prime recreational spots and ecologically sensitive areas could be destroyed.

Olifantshoek Hotel, the animal watering hole, historical artefacts, the koi fish pond and a range of wildlife and birds fall within proposed mining area.
