Notification received from Sol Plaatje Municipality
Kindly be advised that we have received notification of an intended Provincial Protest action which will result in municipal services being disrupted on Friday 28th February 2014.
The trade union SAMWU( South African Municipal Workers Union) will hand over a Memorandum of Demands to four municipalities in the Northern Cape which include our own.
Services which usually gets affected during industrial action include refuse removal, sanitation, meter reading, Pay points excluding our emergency services.
So far the service disruption is expected to last for the day only and we will keep you abreast of the situation. Clients who make use of prepaid electricity are advised purchase tokens from third party vendors like petrol stations, super markets etc
