At least six people sustained injuries varying from serious to moderate after a light motor vehicle overturned about 25 kilometres from Kimberley on the R64 towards Boshoff.
The exact detail to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics worked alongside various emergency services on scene to treat the injured.
Reports from the scene indicate that one person is in a critical condition, while two people sustained moderate injuries.
Three people sustained minor injuries.
All injured were stabilised on scene before they were transported by ambulance to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
The accident happened on Saturday Night, 28/05/2016 at about 21h45.
