PLANNED TEMPORARY WATER INTERRUPTION – 6 June 2026 – Newton Reservoir

⚠️ UPDATE: PLANNED WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION – RESTORATION OF SUPPLY DELAYED BY TWO-HOURS

Extensive refurbishment and repair work at Newton Reservoirs Complex:

Reason For The Delay: Modifications on the pipe flange on the last valve to be installed required.

* Restoration of water supply is now set for 20:00.

General Progress: Five (5) new valves were successfully installed , including the replacement of a pipeline piece at the tower.

We apologise for the delay. The work at Newton Reservoirs Complex is critical and is part of broader repair and refurbishment of the bulk water supply infrastructure.

⚠️ ALERT: PLANNED WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION ON SATURDAY, 06 JUNE 2026 – 06:00 TO 18:00

Kimberley residents are hereby informed of a Planned Water Supply Interruption scheduled as follows:

Date: Saturday, 6 June 2026
Time: 06:00 to 18:00

Reason: The interruption is necessary to facilitate the replacement of two valves at the 23 Ml Reservoir, three valves at the 45 Ml Reservoir, and a section of the pipe within the Newton Reservoirs Complex.

📍Please Store Water: Residents, especially in Kimberley suburbia (high-lying areas), are advised to make the necessary arrangements and store sufficient water for domestic use during the interruption period.

We apologise for the anticipated inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation as we repair and refurbish our bulk water supply infrastructure under the Budget Facility for Infrastructure (BFI).
