💥⚡LOADSHEDDING UPDATE⚡💥

ESKOM: Stage 2 loadshedding will be extended to 23:00 on Sunday, 14 March 2021, following the loss of further generation capacity and to replenish emergency generation reserves.
2️⃣ On Stage 2 loadshedding two hour long rolling blackouts are introduced according to the Stage 2 Schedule.
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: ‼️💧
In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (13 Mar 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 528 414.
The cumulative total of tests conducted is 9 426 589 with 32 862 tests completed since the last report.
Regrettably we report 82 more COVID-19 related deaths: Eastern Cape 1, Free State 9, Gauteng 7, Kwa-Zulu Natal 9, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 3, North West 42, Northern Cape 0 and Western Cape 11 which brings the total to 51 261 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 452 988 representing a recovery rate of 95%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 13 MARCH 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 84 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today. The Province has a cumulative total of 34 718 people.
In today’s report, Pixley ka Seme had the highest positive cases (23), followed by Frances Baard (19), Namakwa (17), ZF Mgcawu (16) and JT Gaetsewe (8) while 1 case was unallocated.
There are no new COVID-19 related deaths reported today from all the five districts. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications is currently standing at 781.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The number of total active cases in the Province reduced to below the 2000 mark, currently standing at 1 917.
There were 303 people reported to have recovered from the disease, this included backlogs from previous months as a result of delays in reporting. The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 92%, representing a cumulative total of 32 018 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

VACCINES SAVE LIVES – VACCINATION ROLL-OUT
No vaccination took place today, the total number of Healthcare Workers vaccinated remain 4 343 since the vaccination campaign started on 17 February 2021.
