• Burst pipes repairs underway in Chapel Street.
– Impact: Low water pressure within that vicinity.
– Supply restoration; 15:00
MONUMENT HEIGHTS AND DIAMOND PAVILION
• Burst pipe located in Lowndes Street, Monument Heights.
– Impact: Low water pressure to possibly no supply.
– Expected completion time; 15:00.

ALERT: WATER SUPPLY FROM NEWTON RESERVOIRS
* Second pump now operational.
* Normal tap pressure expected by 17:00.
Earlier Challenge
* One pump was operational in an effort to prevent tower overflowing.
Residents are encouraged to report all water related faults to the Call-Centre 080 122 9010 or 053 830 6111.

Many areas are currently reporting little to no water pressure since this morning. At this stage we can only assume that based on the locality of reports and water pressure, there appears to be an issue at Newton Reservoir.
At the time of this post there has not yet been a statement issued by Sol Plaatje Municipality.
