POWER SUPPLY RESTORED TO PARTS OF ROODEPAN THAT HAVE BEEN OFFLINE
• Power supply restored to the following areas; – Naborn, Sunset Manor, Lethabo Park, Jacksonville, Flats A B C, Old Roodepan and Erwe.
• The intense lightning and storms of past Friday sparked one of the worst outages in the city, resulting inextensive damage to electrical infrastructure.
• For household electricity supply faults in the above areas, residents are advised to contact the Call-Centre at 080 122 9010.

• Last night’s lightning related explosion at H.A Morris Substation remains the cause of power supply outages.
– Whilst supply has been restored to large parts of Kimberley from midnight into this afternoon, our electrians are on an all-out-effort to restore supply.
Witdam Substation
– Team currently working at Witdam Substation. Ramorwa and Magashula Streets towards Galeshewe Plaza will be back online once repair work is completed.
Supply has been restored to large parts of Galeshewe; Tswelelang, Snake Park, Transit Camp and Promised Land are still offline.
H.A Morris Substation
– Source of extensive lightning damage that triggered widespread outages. Reinforcement done to reconnect Homevale, Colville, Homelite, and surrounding areas. Team on site.

Galeshewe Substation
– We have a team at Substation working on restoring supply to Transit Camp, Promise Land, Snake Park and possibly other areas of Galeshewe.
– Tswelelang switchgear feeder exploded, resulting in a 66kv trip at Galeshewe Substation. Electrical team is on site, isolating it from the system. Once safely isolated, supply will be restored to most areas.
