On Friday evening at 21h01 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a head-on collision between a taxi and a car on the N12 between Warrenton and Kimberley. Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation.
Paramedics and the fire services arrived at the scene and found both vehicles at the side of the roadway. After investigation they established that the two male occupants from the Blue car had tragically died on impact. Five people from the taxi was critically injured, another five sustained serious injuries while two escaped with minor injuries.
Medics treated the injured at the scene before they transported them to a hospital in Kimberley for the care that they required.
