ALERT: WATER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION – NEWTON RESERVOIRS PUMPS SWITCHED-OFF
Cause: Burst 350 mm diameter pipe located in Holland Road (New Park), prompting a swith-off of Newton Reservoirs pumps in order to effect the repair work and stop water flow.
Impact: Low tap pressure to no-tap-flow in Kimberley suburbia (high-lying areas)
Repair Duration: Three hours

According to a message from a resident, waterworks department have turned off Newton Reservoir to work on a burst pipe on the premises.
No statement or info has yet been sent out by the municipality and the time frame when water will be restored is unknown at this stage.
