Kimberley Power Outages – Hadison Park & Carters Glen Substations – 23/04/2025

UPDATE: 23 APRIL 2025 – 12:00

TEMPORARY POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION – LARGE PARTS OF GALESHEWE AND ITS IMPACT ON HIGH-LYING AREAS

Cause: High-Tension cable damage in Absolom Street, Club 2000, linked to broken breaker at Galeshewe Substation.

Impact: Galeshewe wide, with only a portion supplied from Witdam Substation being online at the moment.

Important Information: The outage is Galeshewe impacted on Hadison Park and Carters Glen substations.

Urgent Action: 1. Isolation of the affected high-lying areas for immediate restoration of supply. 2. Repair work to unfold to restore power supply in Galeshewe.

The Municipality pleads for patience.

ALERT: TEMPORARY POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION – HADISON PARK AND CARTERS GLEN SUBSTATIONS

Outage in a number of residential areas supplied by Hadison Park and Carters Glen substations.

Impact: Lindene, New Hillcrest, Hillcrest, Royldene, Newpark, Rhodesdene, Carters Glen, and Soul City.

Possible Cause: 66kV trip

The outage has been reported, and our Electrical Department personnel are attending to it.
