The Refuse removal section’s go slow has now come to an end, refuse will be collected in the city today and tomorrow, they will collect as much as they possibly can to make up for the days where it was not collected.
We do however still have the challenge of some of the trucks that are at the motor workshop for repairs, refuse not collected today and tomorrow will be collected on normal days as from Monday.

Afriforum have come to aid by volunteering to collect refuse in areas where refuse have not been collected since Monday to assist the Municipality with its backlog until the matter at refuse has been resolved.

No refuse removal will be collected throughout the city today (Thu, 30 Mar 2023) due to a go slow by the refuse section until further notice.
Residents are requested to take their refuse back into their yards. Further updates will follow on developments.
