Electricians are done with the cable in Samaria street. Currently busy with the next 2nd fault.
Its now brought to the electricians attention that cables at the pump station also got stolen.
It will take more time to sort out the problem but there are currently 2 teams on the site.

Cable Fault Locators from Bloemfontein are on the site but it will take time to work on the fault.
20 Meters of the cable was stolen according to the electricians. Unfortunately electricians cannot give a time as to when the problem will be sorted out.

UPDATE: 4 OCTOBER 2022 – 08:40
Following last nights (Mon 3 Oct 2022) power outage affecting De Beers, Cassandra, Ernestville and possibly other nearby areas, electricity is still off in these areas. A testing department is on their way from Bloemfontein. Based on info it appears to be cable theft and a damaged cable in Samaria Street. Electricians are onsite but unfortunately it appears it might take some time before problem is rectified.
No timeframe was given as to when electricity will be restored.

UPDATE: 3 OCTOBER 2022 – 18:24
The Municipality is aware about the power outage in Cassandra and De Beers, the electricians are out to the site, they will confirm the fault upon arrival on site.
