As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: ‼️💧
In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (10 Apr 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 557 527.
The number of tests conducted to date is 10 115 923. Of these 29 464 tests were completed since the last report.
Today, 30 deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 1, Free State 5, Gauteng 11, Kwa-Zulu Natal 5, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 8, North West 0, Northern Cape 0 and Western Cape 0 ,which brings the total to 53 256 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 482 682, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 10 APRIL 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 94 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today. The Province cumulative total is now standing at 36 965 people. The two (2) previously confirmed cases have been re-allocated back into the Province (1 x Sol Plaatje LM and 1 x Gasegonyana) as a result of the ongoing data verification.
In today’s report, Frances Baard recorded the highest positive cases (28), followed by ZF Mgcawu (23), Namakwa (22), JT Gaetsewe and Pixley ka Seme with 11 and 10 cases, respectively.
There were now new COVID-19 related deaths reported today across the Province. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications is now standing at 840.

The number of total active cases in the Province increased slightly to 3 001.
There were 21 people reported to have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 90%, representing a cumulative total of 33 122 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

VACCINES SAVE LIVES – VACCINATION ROLL-OUT
Today, the vaccination outreach Programme at Prieska Hospital was concluded, where 38 vaccinations were administered. The total number of Healthcare Workers vaccinated across the Province is currently standing at 5 729 since the vaccination campaign started on 17 February 2021.
