As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: ‼️💧
In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (26 Mar 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 543 079.
The cumulative total of tests conducted is 9 752 061 with 29 240 tests completed since the last report.
Today, 67 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 3, Free State 6, Gauteng 23, Kwa-Zulu Natal 9, Limpopo 17, Mpumalanga 0, North West 5, Northern Cape 1 and Western Cape 3 which brings the total to 52 602 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 469 565, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 26 MARCH 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 160 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today. The Province cumulative total now stand at 35 943 people.
In today’s report, Namakwa recorded the highest daily positive cases (64), followed by Pixley ka Seme (40), ZF Mgcawu and Frances Baard with 21 cases each, and JT Gaetsewe (12) while 2 cases are unallocated.
There is one (1) newly-recorded COVID-19 related death reported today, that occurred in the past 72 hours. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications is now standing at 819.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The number of total active cases in the Province is currently standing at 2 422.
There were 367 people reported to have recovered from the disease, included are past recoveries as a result of data verification. The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 91%, representing a cumulative total of 32 700 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

VACCINES SAVE LIVES – VACCINATION ROLL-OUT
The vaccination Programme will be starting at Springbok after completing the Calvinia Hospital vaccination round on 25 March 2021. The total number of Healthcare Workers vaccinated across the Province is currently standing at 4 816 since the vaccination campaign started on 17 February 2021.
