Sol Plaatje have stated that the current reservoir levels are quite low. As a result thereof Nightly Water Shutdowns will continue until an adequate water level is achieved.
Time of Nightly Water Shutdown: 22:00 – 04:00 / 10pm – 4am
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: 03 JANUARY 2021 – 11:45 ‼️💧
Sol Plaatje Municipality is currently struggling to maintain adequate water levels at the Newton Reservoir. Please be prepared for low to no water pressure at all times. Adequate and timely communication is not forthcoming from Sol Plaatje Municipality.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (07 Feb 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in South Africa is 1 476 135.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 8 495 811 with 26 055 new tests recorded since the last report.
Regrettably, we report a further 110 COVID-19 related deaths deaths: Eastern Cape 8, Free State 20, Gauteng 23, Kwa-Zulu Natal 10, Mpumalanga 20, Northern Cape 1 and Western Cape 28 which brings the total to 46 290 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 1 360 204, representing a recovery rate of 92%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 07 FEBRUARY 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 99 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, this brings the Province cumulative total to 32 628 people.
In today’s report, Frances Baard recorded the highest number of new positive cases (40), followed by Namakwa (26), JT Gaetsewe (13), Pixley Ka Seme (12) and ZF Mgcawu with the least number of cases (6) while 2 cases are unallocated.
Sadly, today we report one (1) new COVID-19 related death that occurred in the past 72 hours, from Sol Plaatje LM, Frances Baard. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications reached 600, another grim milestone.
The number of total active cases stands at 3 639 in the Province.
The Province average recovery rate is currently 87%, representing a cumulative total of 28 387 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
