Kimberley Water Notice From Sol Plaatje Municipality.

No water in Herlear, Cassandra, Ernestville, Greenpoint and Beaconsfield – Update 16:30 13/09/2014

—-Update 16:30—–

Most of these areas are still without water.  The current problem is not due to the repairs on the corner of Main and Carrington road but due to a pipe burst on the intersection of Main Road and Neale Street.
Sol Plaatje is working on the problem but currently there is a delay due to the an equipment problem.  The drainage pump broke and a replacement pump is under way.

The small fountains on the corners close by are valves opened to divert water from the problem area to speed up repairs.

Everyone remember that the people working on site is not to blame for the problems, they are there to restore water ASAP.

Water is not expected to be restored before 20:00 tonight.
