WATER SUPPLY RESTORED – HERLEAR, BEACONSFIELD, BELGRAVIA, ERNESTVILLE, GREENPOINT
Water supply has been restored to all of the above-mentioned areas.
Broken butterfly-valve located in Carrington Road repaired.
Residents are encouraged to report all water supply faults to the Call-Centre 080 122 9010.

I have received a number of queries regarding little to no water pressure in various high-lying suburbs.
I went to do oversite. As of 11:15, Newton reservoir is running one pump.
Waterworks are conducting repairs on two leaks on the premises.

Cause: Broken butterfly-valve (closed position) located in Carrington Road.
Action: Fitters and Waterworks team undertaking repair work.
Estimated Restoration of Supply: Today, and further confirmation to follow.
The lack of earlier information and the inconvenience caused are highly regretted.
