UPDATE: 13 November 2025 – 15:15

ALERT: WATER SUPPLY RESTORED TO LARGE PARTS OF KIMBERLEY (HIGH-LYING AREAS)

Status: Pumps at Newton Reservoirs are back in operation, having been switched off earlier, to allow for repair work to be undertaken in replacing a burst asbestos pipe in Du Toitspan Road.

UPDATE: 13 November 2025 – 14:10

The reason for little to no water in a large part of Kimberley is due to the Newton Reservoir being turned off.

This was done to allow Waterworks to make repairs to the burst pipe in Lennox Street.

Regards
Cllr Chris Whittaker
Ward 24
