TEMPORARY WATER INTERRUPTION 02/05/2023 – Newton Reservoir
UPDATE: 2 May 2023 – 12:05
The Municipality’s Waterworks section was working on a massive burst pipe yesterday in Francey Str, New Park. The same pipe burst again, and in order to repair the burst pipe, we will have to switch off Newton Reservoir again for a short period to allow waterworks to effect repairs.
A cascade will be installed to fasten the pipe tighter to avoid the pipe from leaking further. Once repairs are complete, water will be restored to affected areas.
Residents that are being directly fed from the Newton Reservoir will notice low pressure to no water from their taps.
