COVID-19 INFO
As of today (27 Sept 2020), the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 670 766 with 1 268 new cases identified.
The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 4 143 466 with 15 028 new tests conducted since the last report.
Regrettably, we report 22 more COVID-19 related deaths: 7 from Eastern Cape, 5 from KwaZulu-Natal, 2 from Gauteng, 5 from North West, and 3 from Western Cape.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 16 398.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 603 721 which translates to a recovery rate of 90%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 27 SEPTEMBER 2020
The Minister of Health announced an additional 172 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 16 243 people.
There are 7 people to be reallocated to other provinces. The number of recoveries currently stands at 13 225 which translates to a recovery rate of 82%.
