Kimberley Sol Plaatje Municipal Rates & Tariffs for 2021/22 – as from 1 July 2021
Rates increase by 4,0%, electricity by 14,59% (domestic), water by 4,0%, sanitation by 4,0% and cleansing/refuse collection by 4,0%.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (30 June 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service, reports 19,506 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 1,973,972. This increase represents a 27.6 % positivity rate.
A further 383 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 60,647 to date.
13,133,428 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.
The Gauteng province accounts for the majority of new cases (57%), followed by the Western Cape (11%) and North West (7%) provinces.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 30 JUNE 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 239 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today, bringing the Province total to 59 014 people.
Frances Baard recorded the highest COVID-19 infections with 98, followed by Pixley ka Seme (45), ZF Mgcawu (38), Namakwa (35) and JT Gaetsewe (22) while 1 case is unallocated.
Today, there were eleven (11) newly recorded COVID-19 related deaths were reported across the Province. These deaths are from: Frances Baard (6), ZF Mgcawu (3) and 2 are unallocated.
The Province total cumulative deaths increased to 1 386.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The number of total active cases currently stand at 6 932.
Today, 267 people were reported to have recovered from the disease. The Province average recovery rate stand at 86%, representing a cumulative total of 50 694 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
