Latest Update: Electricity and Stormwater : Roodepan, Galeshewe and Ritchie
All reported electricity complaints are being attended by our electrical teams and some areas are back on. The emergency services have already placing temporary roofing in affected areas of Ritchie, Roodepan and Boikanyo and Nxumalo Streets.Two deceased persons have been retrieved after drowning. Motorists are also advised road closures in Bogonia Street area due to protests. – Sello Matsie
Flooding and electricity outages has been reported across Kimberley. According to Sello Matsie (the Sol Plaatje Municipal Spokesperson), Roodepan, Galeshewe and Richie were hit hard and one fatality due to drowning has been reported.
