Kimberley Sol Plaatje Municipal Rates & Tariffs for 2021/22 – as from 1 July 2021
Rates increase by 4,0%, electricity by 14,59% (domestic), water by 4,0%,  sanitation by 4,0% and cleansing/refuse collection by 4,0%.

COVID-19 INFO

As of today (26 July 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service, reports 5 683 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 2 383 490. This increase represents a 24.3% positivity rate.

As per the National Department of Health, a further 243 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 70 018 to date.

14 587 196 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.

The majority of new cases today are from Gauteng (27%), followed by Western Cape (21%). KwaZulu-Natal accounted for 15%; Mpumalanga accounted for 10%; Eastern Cape accounted for 8%; Limpopo accounted for 6%; Free State and North West each accounted for 5%; and Northern Cape accounted for 3% of today’s new cases.

NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 26 JULY 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 151 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape in the past 24 hours. The Province cumulative total stand at 65 535 people infected with COVID-19.
Today, ZF Mgcawu reported the highest COVID-19 infections with 59, followed by Namakwa (57), Frances Baard (21), JT Gaetsewe (12) and Pixley ka Seme with only 2 cases.
Today, there were six (6) newly reported deaths related to COVID-19 complications across the Province with 5 occurring in the past 72 hours. These new deaths are from Frances Baard (4) and ZF Mgcawu (2). The Province cumulative total deaths increased to 1 689.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The number of total active cases is currently standing at 4 459.
There were 471 people reported to have recovered from the disease. The Province average recovery rate remain 91%, representing a cumulative total of 59 385 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
