TODAY IS MOTHER-IN-LAW DAY
There’s a lot of jokes about them, the bane of our existence and the constant nagging voice that hangs at the back of our heads. Literally, if they happen to be riding in the back seat of the car, or sitting in your living room, or heck, hanging out in the mother-in-law that your wife just insisted that you had to build on the back acres of your property.
Yeah, we know, they’re not often our favorite people either, and more often than not are a major component of why we don’t want to get married. Either way, Mother-in-Law day celebrates all that is good about them… given time I’m sure we can think about something.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (24 Oct 2020), the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 714 246.
The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 4 677 942 with 20 826 new tests conducted since the last report.
Regrettably, we report 53 COVID-19 related deaths today. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 18 944. Of the 53 deaths reported today, 10 occurred in the past 48 hours.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 644 641 which translates to a recovery rate of 90%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 24 OCTOBER 2020
The Minister of Health announced an additional 106 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 21 257 people.
There are 17 people to be reallocated to other provinces. The number of recoveries currently stands at 17 408 which translates to a recovery rate of 82%.
