ESKOM: Stage 1 loadshedding will be implemented from 05:00 until 16:00 followed by Stage 3 loadshedding from 16:00 until 05:00. This pattern will be implemented daily until further notice.

Sol Plaatje Municipality will be embarking on a planned water shutdown from Wednesday, 9 August 2023 at 18:00pm until Monday 14 August 2023 at 23:00pm due to excessive leaks and other work to be done on the water network.

To ensure continuous water supply, nightly shutdowns have be re-implemented from 20:00pm-04:00am daily until Newton Reservoir has reached full capacity. This is an interim intervention until the situation normalizes.
PLEASE NOTE: As in the past, sometimes water was switched off earlier than specified or switched on later than the times mentioned.
