A 17 year old learner, Nico Grobler and the 35 year old driver of a BMW died when three vehicles (a bus from Landboudal High School, a red BMW and a condor) was involved in a crash 6km outside of Jacbosdal on the R705. The accident happened yesterday shortly after 14:00. The bus was transporting 23 people, mostly learners, to a sporting event at the Technical High School in Kimberley. Four people was travelling the Condor and the driver of the BMW was the only occupant.
According to a report by Network 24 the red BMW, travelling from the direction of Modderriver, ignoring a solid barrier line attempted to overtake another vehicle and crashed head on with the bus.
