ESKOM: Stage 2 loadshedding was suspended at 05:00 this morning (Monday, 25 October 2021) and will then resume at 21:00 – 05:00 on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Kimberley Sol Plaatje Municipal Rates & Tariffs for 2021/22 – as from 1 July 2021
Rates increase by 4,0%, electricity by 14,59% (domestic), water by 4,0%, sanitation by 4,0% and cleansing/refuse collection by 4,0%.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (24 October 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service reports 300 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 2 919 632. This increase represents a 1.4% positivity rate.
As per the National Department of Health, a further 11 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 88 925 to date.
18 364 359 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.
The majority of new cases today are from KwaZulu-Natal (23%), followed by Gauteng Province and Western Cape (19% each). Northern Cape accounted for 10%; Eastern Cape accounted for 9%; North West and Mpumalanga accounted for 6% each; Free State accounted for 5%; and Limpopo accounted for 3% of today’s new cases.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 24 OCTOBER 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 31 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape in the past 24 hours. The Province cumulative total currently stands at 92 272 people infected with COVID-19.
In today’s update, Pixley ka Seme reported the highest infections with 13 cases, followed by Frances Baard (11), ZF Mgcawu(4), Namakwa (2) and JT Gaetsewe (1).
Today, there were two (2) new deaths (related to COVID-19 complications) reported across the Province, all from Frances Baard district. The Province total cumulative deaths stand at 2 244.

The number of total active cases currently standing at 1 660.
The Province average recovery rate stand at 96%, representing a cumulative total of 88 368 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
